The wetting test is suitable for determining the degree of contamination on the blasted surface.
Determination of the degree of contamination of the blasted surface
- The blasted surface is wetted with water and the run-off behavior is observed.
- If the surface is completely wetted, it is free of grease.
- However, if the water film contracts and droplets form, the surface is contaminated with grease or oil.
